Welcome to the International Lymphedema & Wound Training Institute! ILWTI is the first rehab-based educational institute founded and developed by licensed specialists who are dedicated to integrated care for complex patient management. We are excited to bring you the first international training program where you can earn your lymphedema and wound certification simultaneously, through the Certified Lymphedema and Wound Therapist (CLWT) training courses.
We prepare you with the comprehensive knowledge and hands-on skills necessary to treat your patients with various causes of edema and chronic wounds such as: lymphedema, lipedema, lipolymphedema, venous edema, phlebolymphedema, post-thrombotic syndrome, dependent edema, congestive heart failure, pressure injuries, burns, neuropathic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, arterial ulcers, atypical ulcers, and more. We focus on the integration of Complete Decongestive Physiotherapy (CDT), modern manual lymphatic drainage and imaging technologies, multi-layered compression bandaging and compression garments, and advanced wound care in everyday clinical practice.
ILWTI gives you the tools to successfully execute effective plans of care in lymphedema and wound care centers, cancer centers, home health, long-term care, orthopedics, geriatrics, in-patient rehab, short-term rehab, private practice, and many other clinical settings. We offer the most advanced and progressive training, and include more hands-on labs and workshops than any other lymphedema and wound care educational program.
"This is the best training I ever participated in. Practical, hands on, lots of positive reinforcement and lots of different products to work with."
— Elizabeth Oole, PT
"This training puts great emphasis on the combination of wound care and lymphedema treatments. The two go hand in hand and any clinician who does one, needs the other. This course is clinically relevant and practical!"
— Marijke Carson, PT
"You will leave this course empowered and prepared to start or fine tune your lymphedema path in the real world."
— Robert Woodward, OTR / CLWT
