Lighthouse Lymphedema Network Event

This course is designed to certify attendees in the selection, measuring and tting of appropriate compression therapy for common and complex medical indications. The course will help attendees understand the pathophysiology of edemas of various etiologies, clinically differentiate between them, and make appropriate product recommendations. Attendees will learn how compression therapy promotes Occupational Health, and is effectively used for treatment and long-term management of Chronic Venous Insuf ciency, Venous Leg Ulcers, Post-Thrombotic Syndrome, Phlebolymphedema, Lymphedema, Lipedema, Lipolymphedema, and post-procedure edema. Pearls of practice, such as tips for skin and wound care and updates on latest imaging technologies, will be woven throughout the program. The course blends didactic and practicum training for an in-depth and fun learning experience.

About the Instructor

Robyn Bjork is a licensed Physical Therapist, a Certi ed Wound Specialist through the American Board of Wound Management, a Certi ed Lymphedema Therapist through the Lymphology Association of North America and Certi ed Lymphedema and Wound Therapist through the International Lymphedema & Wound Care Training Institute. She is the founder, CE Program Director and Instructor for the International Lymphedema & Wound Care Training Institute (ILWTI), co-founder of ILWTI Medical Missions, past founder and director of a thriving, hospital based wound and lymphedema clinic, Director of Innovation & Medical Education for SIGVARIS, Inc., and past Secretariat of the World Alliance for Wound and Lymphedema Care. Bjork is a speaker at numerous regional and national conferences on wound and lymphedema topics, teaches workshops nationally and internationally, and has spearheaded wound care and lymphedema initiatives in the bush of Africa, developed clinical protocols for Lymphatic Filariasis in Haiti, and wrote a chapter on lymphedema management for the World Health Organization. With more than fteen years of clinical experience in wound and lymphedema care in outpatient, in-patient, home health, long-term care and short term rehab settings, Bjork blends a wealth of information into an interactive and fun learning program.


Pre-approved for continuing education through the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy, American Occupational Therapy Association, FL Board of Nursing, and individual state boards. 8.5 CE Hours, 10 Contact Hours.
